佛陀、奧修師父、以及梅翠亞（彌勒佛）本身所提及的“Maitreya”這個字的真實涵義是「朋友」。這不只是意指師父與弟子之間的關係會隨著現今的新時代而改變，屆時開悟的師父將會只是一個朋友之外，也同時在告訴我們，“Maitreya”---「朋友」的意思就是無條件的愛。

所有神跟人以及人跟人之間的關係就如同朋友一樣，沒有任何的角色扮演、沒有階級之分、沒有分別、沒有對立。只有一體、平等、無條件的愛和光與尊重。

如今，我們相約，乘願再來。如同朋友般的 “Namaste”---我的神性向你的神性致敬；
如同朋友般的 “Love and Peace”---我們擁有無限的愛與平靜”；如同朋友般的 “小靈魂與太陽”---請記起我們是誰。

親愛的朋友，請把握地球現在的黃金時代，無條件的愛已來臨。

Here I would like to say something which I have been keeping asecret my whole life:

在這裡，我想說一個我守了一輩子的祕密：

One beautiful morning, Gautam Buddha had gone for a walk withhis caretaker, disciple, Ananda. It was fall time; the trees weregetting almost naked and all the leaves were on the path. The windwas fluttering the trees, and the leaves were making beautifulsounds. Walking on those leaves, Buddha was immensely happy. themusic of the dry leaves.

在一個美麗的清晨，佛陀跟他的護衛兼弟子阿難去散步。正值秋天；樹幾乎光禿禿了，所有的葉子全落在路上。風吹拂著樹木，葉子發出美妙的聲音。漫步在這些落葉上，佛陀非常的開心。享受枯葉之樂。

He took a few leaves in his hand. Ananda asked him, “Bhagwan, Ihave always been thinking to ask one thing, but privacy is sodifficult. You are always surrounded by people. Today you are alonein this forest, and I cannot resist the temptation. I want to askyou: Have you said everything to us, or have you kept some secrets?Buddha said, “Do you see the leaves in my hand? And do you see theleaves all over the forest?” Ananda said, “Yes, I do see, but Idon’t understand that that is the answer.” Buddha said, “You willunderstand. I have said only this much, and I have kept secret allthese leaves that are in the whole forest.”

他拾起幾片樹葉。阿難問，“巴關，我一直想問你一件事，但私底下問很難。你總是被人圍著。今天你獨自一人在這個森林裡，我抵擋不了誘惑。我想問你：你是否跟我們道出了一切，還是你有保留一些祕密？”佛陀說，“你有看到我手上的落葉嗎？你有看到森林裡整片的落葉嗎？”阿難說，“是的，我看到了，但我不明白那就是答案。”佛陀說，“你會明白的。我只說了這麼點，整個森林裡的那些落葉，就是我所保留的祕密。
”
My situation is just different. I have said the whole forest;only one thing I have kept secret, just one leaf. Buddha declaredbefore his death that he would be coming again after twenty-fivecenturies, and that his name would be Maitreya. Maitreya means thefriend. Buddhas don’t come back; no enlightened person ever comesback, so it is just a way of saying.

我的情況不一樣。我已經道出了整個森林：我只保留了一個祕密，只有一片樹葉。佛陀在他死之前宣稱，2500年後他會再回來，他的名字將會是“Maitreya”（彌勒/梅翠亞/彌勒佛/彌勒菩薩）。Maitreya的真實涵義其實是「朋友」。佛陀沒有回來，開悟者從來沒回來過，所以那只是一種說法。

What he was saying is of tremendous importance. It has nothingto do with his coming back; he cannot come back. What he meant wasthat the ancient relationship between the master and the disciplewould become irrelevant in twenty-five centuries. It was hisclarity of perception - he was not predicting anything - just hisclarity to see that as things are changing, as they have changed inthe past and as they go on changing, it would take at leasttwenty-five centuries for the master and disciple relationship tobecome out of date. Then the enlightened master will be only thefriend .

他說的話意義重大。那跟他回不回來無關。他的意思是，2500年之後，師父跟弟子之間的古老關係會變得無關緊要。那是他清晰的洞察力——他並不是在預言什麼——他只是清晰的看到，因為事情在改變，過去它們改變了，它們也繼續在改變中，師父與弟子之間的關係要改變，會花上至少2500年。屆時開悟的師父將會只是一個朋友。

I had always wanted not to be a master to anybody. But peoplewant a master, they want to be disciples; hence, I played the role.It is time that I should say to you that now many of you are readyto accept me as the friend. Those who are in tune with mecontinuously, without any break, are the only real friends.

我一直不想成為任何人的師父。但人們想要一個師父，他們想要成為弟子；所以，我扮演了那個角色。是時候了，我應該跟你們說，現在你們很多人已經準備好了接受我是一個朋友。那些沒有任何中斷，持續的跟我保持著和諧的人，是唯一真正的朋友。

There are people who are sometimes in tune with me and sometimesnot in tune with me. You are asking why it happens. The reason is -perhaps you may be surprised to know - sometimes they are in tunewith me because I am in tune with them, because whatever I amsaying is in accordance with them. They feel, “This is perfectlyright.” They are not in tune with me. On the contrary, they feelthey are in tune with me only because I am fulfilling some of theirideas, some of their expectations. That is illusion.

有些人，有時候會跟我和諧一致，有時候不會。你問為什麼會這樣。原因是——知道了或許你會驚訝——有時候他們跟我和諧一致，是因為我跟他們是和諧一致的，因為無論我在說什麼，都是根據他們。相反，他們覺得他們跟我和諧一致，只是因為我正在滿足他們的某些想法，他們的某些期待。那是幻象。

Once you are really in tune with me, you cannot fall out of it.But if somebody falls out of it, that simply means that I have saidsomething, I have done something, which is not in accordance withyou. You remain the judge. You have not dropped judgment. Your egois still there.

一旦你真正和我和諧一致，你就不會跑調。但如果有人跑調了，那僅僅意味著我說的一些話，我做的一些事，跟他們不一致。你仍然是個裁判。你還沒有放下評判。你的自我還在那裡。
